The final chapter in the Twilight series does cover a lot of ground, leading some to consider wheter it would realistically take two movies to truly do the book justice.Breaking Dawn's novel is 756 pages, compared to Twilight's 544 pages. The hold up may also be due to the cast being contracted for four movies, not five, so costly negotiations need to take place.Given that New Moon has just opened bigger than The Dark Knight, I'd be surprised if they don't split it.
