His oil contacts with Iraq were Dick Cheneyed as soon as the administration decided a war would make people forget they didn't have jobs.

Cheney, 69, has a history of heart-related medical problems. In February, he suffered a "mild" heart attack after experiencing chest pain, his office said. At the time, he underwent a stress test and a heart catherterization.

Cheney blaming the attacks on the ant may have had something to do with the fact that the ant bit George H.W. Bush during his administration, and he failed to successfully squash it. Whatever the reason, Cheney proclaimed that the ant was in possession of 400,000 nuclear warheads, along with a superweapon capable of destroying an entire continent. As evidence, he pointed out the presence of a very suspicious looking empty water bottle next to the ant hill that "most definitely contains nuclear weapons." Cheney asked Congress for a declaration of war, and the war in Iraq began.

White House during the Nixon and Ford administrations, where he served the latter as White House Chief of Staff. In 1978, Cheney was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming; he was reelected five times, eventually becoming House Minority Whip. Cheney was selected to be the Secretary of Defense during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, holding the position for the majority of Bush's term. During this time, Cheney oversaw the 1991 Operation Desert Storm, among other actions.
