The famous American television, stage and film actress best known for her roles as Carmela Soprano on “The Sopranos”.The show is up against favourite Amazing Race, Top Chef, Project Runway and American Idol for outstanding reality program.Mad Men, a drama set in a 1960s New York advertising firm, is likely to dominate the ceremony, with the show the favourite to beat The Good Wife, True Blood, Lost, Dexter and Breaking Bad for best drama series and Mad Men star Jon Hamm the frontrunner for best drama actor.

She reiterated backstage what she said during her acceptance: namely, that she isn't funny and had no idea what she was doing acceping an Emmy up on that stage. "The whole comedy world is new terrain for me," she said backstage. "When I'd found out I was nominated for a cmedy series, I laughed my head off.

She subsequently landed bigger film roles and starred on Broadway in a number of shows, including Frankie and Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. Like most of her characters, Falco is a strong woman in real life, successfully battling breast cancer in 2003 and adopting a baby boy in 2004.
