Tropical Storm Danielle Continues To Gain Strength As Hurricane Danielle Video

This system, Invest 93L, also has a 60% chance of developing into a tropical storm withing the next 48hours. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami said Sunday that Danielle had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph 65 kph and the storm is expected to strengthen over the next couple of days.

The rain chance for much of today is 70 percent, mainly along the coastal areas. The system is moving to the west-northwest at ten mph off the west coast of Florida producing warm, tropical conditions across the Tampa Bay area.

They though is still forecast to stay far to the east of the U.S. Tropical Storm Danielle continues to gain strength as a blocking ridge of high pressure breaks, allowing the storm system to curve away and back to the north and northeast over the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
