After finding your hall ticket, check carefully to see whether all details are correct and the photo imprinted is yours or not.If you find that there is no photo on your hall ticket, you are advised to bring 3 passport sized photographs to the exam centre, without which you’ll not be allowed to take the test.Also, if you find any discrepancies in the hall ticket, please correct the same in the nominal rolls (attendance rolls) during the time of written test in the exam hall.

On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission was functioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing work load, Government enhanced the strength of the Commission to Chairman and 5 Members in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. Government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength also.

The issue of large scale absenteeism at a centre in Warangal also came up for discussion in the meeting.Out of 600 candidates who were allotted this centre, only 11 appeared for the exam.As many as 50 candidates from this centre submitted a representation to the APPSC urging it to conduct a re-exam as they were prevented by T-activists from appearing.Sources said the re-exam will be possible only after October 3 — the day on which the Group-IV exam is scheduled — for which about 13 lakh candidates have submitted applications.
City police commissioner AK Khan said the candidates should come well in advance to the centre for verification of hall tickets and identity. “No other person, except candidates, would be allowed into the centre,he said adding that the invigilators should also bring their identity proof along with their appointment letter.

Mobile phones would not be allowed into the examination halls. Cyberabad police commissioner S Prabhakar Reddy said nearly 30,000 students would appear for the examination at 60 centres in the Commissionerate limits. “More than 2,000 police personnel would be deployed at the centres and a four-layer security system would be put in place to prevent any untoward incident,he said. Police forces would also be deployed inside the examination centres, he added. Check-posts would be set up on the roads leading to the centres.
