James Cameron's "Avatar" is back and is better than before. It has already taken a record breaking 2.74 billion dollars and no, this is not a sequel to the film. But the movie will now have extra footage and special scenes that were edited out of the previous release. This will be termed as a "special release" and it will include 8.5 minutes of additional footage.
In case you miss the release in the theatres, you will be able to buy DVD and Blu-ray Discs of this special release from shops in November. The DVD will be 2D but it will have 16 minutes of additional scenes. If you want to wait for the 3D version of the DVD, then you will have to wait for one long year.
