The Babri Masjid Was A Mixture Of The Local Influence And The Western Asian

Indians have proved once again that brotherhood among fellow citizens is strong and vibrant. Hindus and Muslims have not blown the battle bugle. They have, on the contrary, seen through the game of the bigoted, overzealous politicians. Now everybody is waiting for the court judgment in the Babri Masjid case. But I think that irrespective of the court verdict, Muslims should consider gifting the land to Hindus so they build a Ram temple in Ayodhya. By doing so we will not lose anything. On the contrary, we build a huge reservoir of goodwill and camaraderie. Islam is all about forgiveness and then moving ahead.

The government and Hindus should reciprocate this gesture by building the demolished mosque anew in the same Mogul architectural style . The government should also offer the Muslims special reservation in education and jobs, say for five to 10 years. The Ranganathan or the Sachar commissions have already shown the pitiable and pathetic condition of the Indian Muslims. This will benefit the community and make it stronger and more mainstream.Another political analyst, Pratap Bhanu Mehta, concurs with this view: “I don’t think any party wants to be held responsible for political polarisation at this point. BJP doesn’t seem to have any major incentive to go in for political mobilisation.”

The communal tension over the land took root in the construction of the Babri Masji, by Muslim emperor Babur, who in 1527 defeated the Hindu King of Chittorgarh, Rana Sangram Singh at Fatehpur Sikri. The king left his general, Mir Banki as the Viceroy of the region. Mir Banki, who enforced Mughal rule over the population, came to Ayodhya in 1528 and built the Mosque. There are claims that when the Mosque built, the Ram temple at Ayodhya was either demolished or modified largely.Over the years, Hindus have sought to reclaim the 'Ram Janmabhoomi' while Muslims have sought to defend the Babri Masjid.

The Central Government has also taken a number of measures to assist the State Governments. No one needs to have any apprehension, and if everyone realises his/her obligations to society, we can, working together, ensure that there is peace, order and harmony," he said on Wednesday.Appealing to all parties to the suit, public and media not to comment on the complicated issue, he said it is possible that there will be one or more judgements delivered by the three-judge special bench.Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has issued orders to all mobile telecom services providers in the country banning bulk SMS and MMS in all service areas for the next 72 hours.

Under the leadership of L K Advani, BJP was skillfully able to use this ‘Hindu angst’ to its advantage. But its doubtful whether a similar strategy can deliver the goods now. For one, aspirations and hopes of a new generation of people have changed dramatically. They are concerned more with bread-and-butter issues rather than rabble-rousing rhetoric. Again, the Sangh Parivar is not as cohesive as it used to be before, with the Hindutva brigade working at odds with the section of BJP leaders who want the party to occupy the genuine right-wing space. “Post-verdict, if you put Mr Ashok Singhal and Mr Praveen Togadia in front of the camera, you will lose the support of young, modern India,” says political commentator Swapan Dasgupta.
