He is survived by wife Shobha, two sons Atharva & Akash, and a daughter Kavya. Murali was the son of famous Kannada film director Siddlingaiah. He started his acting career with the Tamil movie Poovilangu and later starred in several Kannada films. He acted in 99 films. His first film in Kannada was Prem Parva.
