Smirnoff and Penny, who played last season for the St. Louis Cardinals, starting dating in October 2009 – not long after she and fellow dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy called off their engagement.
The couple met through their mutual pal, former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant and UFC fighter Chuck Liddell.
Even though Penny and Smirnoff kept their romance under wraps for a whole year, they’ve dated some pretty high profile celebrities in their time – which of course would make an amazing wedding guest list if you ask me.
