IIFT entrance exam is just a day away. By now, you must have completed all the preparation for the exam. Even if you are apprehensive that your preparation is not up to the mark, don’t rush to complete the remaining preparation at this stage. This article of MBAUniverse.com will guide you for the last minute preparation and tips for the exam day.

The first and foremost advice to you is to don’t start preparing on a new topic now. Whatever you have learnt till now should be enough. If you have followed the strategies offered to you by the experts and IIFT students, then by now you should be confident enough.

General Awareness is a major section in IIFT paper, so you should give your best in it. There is no end to prepare for this section hence the best is to keep yourself updated with the recent events. “Reading newspapers and glancing through a yearbook should do the trick,” suggested Preyoshi Ganguly, a second year student on IIFT.

A day before the exam you should revise all that you have learnt. You can glance through the formulae and look at the mock tests, their solutions and analysis which you have already taken. In this way, you will be able to cover all the aspects of your preparation so far.

Arrange all the important documents you need on the test day well in advance. Don’t forget to keep your Admit Card and identity card with you as these documents will be checked before you are allowed to take the test.

During the test, focus on the speed without neglecting on accuracy. “Please bear in mind that you have to clear sectional cut offs and hence you have to perform in each of the sections. But unlike CAT, here the sectional cut offs are not very high and hence you should maximize your attempts in your area of strength,” said Abhishek Gupta, Product Head, National Test Prep, Career Launcher.

Talking about attempting the paper, Magnesh Kumar, another student of IIFT said, “The reason I that IIFT paper has 120 questions, while a CAT or a XAT has lesser than 100. Hence, I wanted to focus more on speed without compromising on the correctness of my answer.”
