'World's best airport' finally gets rail link

After a construction period spanning almost 10 years, an express train line linking South Korea’s Incheon Airport to downtown Seoul has opened.

The express train takes 43 minutes to travel the 58-kilometer line connecting the center of Seoul with the airport.

A ticket costs 13,300 won (or U.S.$12) per passenger. Regular trains will take 10 minutes longer at 3,700 won (around U.S.$3).

The line began taking passengers on Wednesday with a total of 422 trains operating daily, Arirang TV reported.

Passengers will be able to check in luggage and get boarding passes at Seoul station.

Prior to the opening, the distance was served only by limousine buses, private cars and taxis with a journey time of roughly one hour.

Tuesday Night Football is TNF Or NFL ?

I feel like the NFL might have fallen into something by pushing back the Vikings-Eagles game to tonight. It brings up the question of why the league does not play more Tuesday night games.

I know it gives the teams a short week coming up. The thing is the league already schedules Thursday games. A team playing on Thursday has three days of rest if it played on the previous Sunday. A team playing on Tuesday has four days of rest to the next Sunday.

I also think there is demand. People like football. That is why you can see small conference college football games regularly on ESPN during weeknights of the college football season. I don't think NFL fans would complain about another primetime game.

It would give the league another package of games to sell to a television network. The league could also just keep the games on NFL Network. Another slate of games would give the league more leverage in negotiating with cable and satellite providers on the network's behalf.

Katrina Kaif 'Satsang' Will be the Most Difficult Task

She may have been reduced to more of an eye candy in Tees Maar Khan, but Katrina Kaif is now set for what she calls the most challenging role of her career.

And that role is of a western woman seeking nirvana in India. It’s the central character in director Prakash Jha’s next film after Aarakshan, titled Satsang.

The film will be an exposé of the multi-billion dollar religious and spiritual industry in India that offers crash courses in quick salvation or long hauls of spiritual rejuvenation. With all the scams and shocking revelations about fake gurus and charlatans being exposed behind ochre robes, the film is all the more apt to come out sooner than later.

Katrina’s character is pivotal to the plot and will be seen without any make-up. Reportedly, Katrina and Jha have discussed the role in detail and Jha has agreed to rope her in.

“It would be the most challenging part of my career so far,” Katrina is quoted as saying about her role in Satsang.

Looking forward into 2011

Those who have been disappointed with Bollywood films in 2010 won’t have much to complain about in 2011. From Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif to Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, it’s going to be a year of reckoning for many.

The most awaited film of 2011 is easily Shahrukh Khan’s dream project Ra.One that sees the jaunty Khan step into the shoes of a superhero. Salman, who had a superb 2010 with the super success of Dabangg, will return to the big screen with Ready. Aamir Khan will have a release after more than a year with wife Kiran Rao’s Dhobi Ghat in January.

Khans apart, it’s going to be a crucial year for Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar. Ranbir Kapoor is already touching new heights of stardom and Rockstar will have him playing a singer, guitarist.

Among ladies, Katrina Kaif is looking to an eventful year, so is Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.

The movie stars Akshay as a talented bowler who gets a chance to play for the English team. But his father, a stiff-upper-lipped patriot, is too proud an Indian to let his son play for the Brits.

So, our hero is stuck in a dilemma. Should he stick to the humdrum existence of running the family shop in Southall or should he follow his dreams.

The actress hasn’t taken kindly the apparent doctoring of her image in which her skin has been made paler to give her a Caucasian appearance. And reports say that she might even consider suing the magazine if indeed it is proved beyond doubt that her skin was made fairer.

Lately, Ash has been occupied with her father’s illness and hasn’t been very forthcoming in her reaction towards the controversy.

But sources close to her are quoted as saying that she’s shocked that leading magazines still resort to racist prejudice while pitching models and actresses on their covers.

Aamir Khan wanted to play an 18-year-old in 'Dhobi Ghat'

At 45, Aamir Khan is still game for playing an 18-year-old. Well, such was the irresistible charm of the character that his wife Kiran Rao had penned in her directorial debut Dhobi Ghat.

When Aamir heard the script, he was so bowled over by it that he wanted to act in it. And he wanted to play the role of an 18-year-old dhobi. But the role eventually went to Prateik Babbar.

“When I heard all the characters, I really liked Prateik's character and wanted to do that. But the character requires someone who looks 18-19 years old. So to prove it to Kiran that I can look that young, I did 3 Idiots. But she still didn't agree. Thankfully she gave me some role in her film,” Aamir said while promoting the film at Andheri.

The media persons were surely surprised to see Aamir at the do because earlier at the unveiling of the first look of the film, his wife Kiran Rao had said that she wants Aamir to stay away from the promotions so that limelight is not taken away from the movie.

“I was never meant to be away from the promotions of the film. I'm very proud of the film and I'm part of it, since I'm the producer and have also acted in it. Even Kiran can't keep me away from it,” Aamir said.

Set to release on January 21, Dhobi Ghat also stars Monica Dogra, Kriti Malhotra, Kitu Gidwani and Nafisa Khan. It tells the story of four characters in downtown Mumbai. Though each comes from a different class of society, their lives are subtly intertwined.

Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner Engaged For the New Year

Santa Claus presented Hugh Hefner with a busty blonde over the weekend, as the Playboy founder announced via Twitter that he's engaged to 24-year old Crystal Harris. He explained:

"I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve. When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas in memory."

Harris was the Playboy Playmate of December 2009 and moved into the famous Mansion soon afterward.

This will be the third marriage for Hefner, as he finally filed for divorce from Kimberly Conrad last year, following the pair's 1998 separation. He was previously hitched to Mildred Williams; their marriage ended 27 years before Harris was born.

Saat Khoon Maaf is Vishal Bharadwaj upcoming movie which stars Priyanka Chopra the only heroine with 7 male stars all will be priyanka’s husbands in the movie which includes Neil Nitin Mukesh who is a poet who loves Priyanka and expresses his love through his poems. Vishal has also signed an international actor during his visit to LA last month to play one of thehusbands.

The story is taken from Ruskin Bond book Susanna’s Seven Husbands. In this film, Priyanka Chopra’s character ages from 20-65[8] and will be seen going through seven different age makeovers as wife of seven different aged men at different stages of her life, for which prosthetics had to play a heavy part.

Salman Khan 'weds' Asin

Salman Khan ‘married’ actress Asin earlier this week in a hush-hush ceremony in which her parents were not invited, according to the media down south.

As the evidence, a photograph of Salman dressed as a dulha and Asin as his new bride was splashed in the press reports. Quite obviously, a lot of people believed it and Asin was flooded with congratulatory calls and messages.

But the actress can’t stop laughing because it was a shoot for her film Ready with Salman Khan. In the scene, Asin marries Salman against her parent’s wishes. Apparently, someone thought she was getting married for real and published the story which was picked up by others in the media down south. Bollywood is coming up with a film on ‘Radiagates’, the recent scandal which shook the Indian nation, Zee News reported. “Interestingly, hot item girl Poonam Jhawar has been short listed to portray the lead character - corporate lobbyist Nira Radia’s and the film will be called, ‘2G Radia-tion’,” the website said.

According to sources, Poonam, who once reportedly rejected the offer by Playboy to feature on the magazine`s centerfold has now agreed to play Radia’s character in the biopic. At a press conference in Mumbai, Poonam said, “The producers felt that my overall personality matches with that of Nira Radia`s. It`s the role of a lifetime for me.” The film is said to trace Radia`s life as a young entrepreneur who, after her exposure in the 2G scam, went on to hit the headlines. It is reported that UK-based Hiten Group would produce the film with Satchit Puranik as the director and Matthew R Blute as the cinematographer.

Poonam Jhawar was written off and wiped out from anyone’s memory when the girl sprang back into headlines recently by bagging a role based on corporate lobbyist Nira Radia, who is currently facing the heat for 2G telecom spectrum scam.
